She said to relax today, but I trusted her completely… A women’s golf outfit that caused a major embarrassment at the clubhouse
A round of golf scheduled for mid-October for three women. The person who had suggested relaxing was the first to arrive at the clubhouse, perfectly coordinating her outfit with a deep green collared knit and cream pants. The friend who arrived later was also dressed in a soft blue knit and navy pants.
At this point, I wonder if I misunderstood what it meant to dress comfortably. It’s the kind of moment where my clothes, which were perfectly fine the moment I got out of the car, suddenly look ordinary. But I can’t exactly go into a pro shop to buy clothes, so I put together an outfit centered around a plum collar knit.

The Plum Knit came back to life first at the clubhouse.
If you go to the golf course in October, you'll notice a significant mix of dark colors like wine and deep green among the bright tops commonly seen in the summer. This plum shade belongs to that family, but since it doesn't sink in as heavily as a wine color, it was great for applying around the face.
It has a collar, so the area around my neck doesn't look bare when I wear the ivory cap. It was actually more comfortable for this gathering because the colors didn't clash even when placed next to my friend's deep green or soft blue.
When three women go golfing, an outfit that looked fine when alone can look completely different the moment you stand together. So this time, instead of adding accessories, I kept the plum color close to my face. Even when taking photos before the first hole, you could tell who was who just by looking at the color of their clothes.
I only adjusted the fit of the charcoal semi-wide pants.

I wore charcoal semi-wide golf pants under the plum top. They have a loose fit from the thighs to the hem, so they don't restrict movement when sitting in a cart or going up and down inclines.
In October, when you start taking out your long golf pants in earnest, it is better to check their condition before wearing them. If creases from folding in the closet remain on the thighs or knees, the overall look will appear less tidy, even if the top is new. After smoothing out large wrinkles with steam and dusting them off, try them on with cream golf shoes to also check where the hem ends.
There was no need to complicate the story of the pants here. Since we have Plum on top, it was enough for Charcoal to quietly support from below.
Warm beige lightweight vest on an October morning
For early morning rounds in October, there are days when you feel a chill as soon as you get out of the car in the parking lot. However, it is not yet time to take out thick winter golf wear, so I packed a thin, warm beige lightweight vest.
The length should be just enough not to completely cover the hips. A design that sits lightly over a knit, rather than a padded style with thick puffiness at the sides, works well for this kind of outfit.

You can wear it while waiting at the start house, and then take it off and fold it on the cart seat once you warm up. In October, a single layer that can be removed in the middle is more practical than wearing the same clothes from morning to afternoon. It is the time of year when it wouldn't be strange to see one friend choose a thin windbreaker while another wears a vest. We each brought one because of the morning air, and the fact that they all have different designs actually feels very much like an October golf course.
When taking the group photo, the three people's outfits were clearer.
When the three of us stand together after the first half, the vibe is different from the outfits we saw at the clubhouse this morning. A plum knit with charcoal pants, a deep green knit with cream pants, and a soft blue knit with navy pants. Since we each have a distinct color, it doesn't look like we copied anyone else.
On the protagonist's side, I left only the ivory cap and cream golf shoes in bright colors. I didn't insert any other strong colors between the plum and charcoal, so it didn't look cluttered even when viewed as a whole.
Honestly, at this point, arguing about who dressed up more only lasts for a brief moment in the morning. After a few holes, wrinkles form on the elbows of the knitwear, and grass sticks to the golf shoes. By midday, the vest is also in the cart.

Still, if the suggestion comes up again to dress comfortably for the next women's round, I think I'll have a plum knit sweater ready in advance. I don't plan on preparing a full top and bottom set; that level is just realistic for a golf outing in October.
