What’s the use of a pretty date look if you can’t even walk for two hours?… Comfortable autumn outfits for women that last until evening
I was fine when we met at 2 PM, but after leaving the cafe and browsing a few gift shops, my heels are starting to ache. Our dinner reservation is at 7 PM, so it’s a bit awkward to have to start looking for a seat at 4 PM.
On days like this, I wear a soft beige knit sweater pulled down low over deep indigo straight denim, and for my feet, I choose brown loafers or cream sneakers that I’ve already worn for a long time. On these days, it is more important that my expression doesn't stiffen because of my shoes, even after walking for a few hours and having a meal.

Clothes that allow you to walk to the next place without constantly pulling down the hem. It may not look like much of a difference in the afternoon, but by evening, your thoughts change a little.
Autumn Date Shoes: Why Your Heels Hurt After Walking for 2 Hours
They feel fine to wear at home and were perfectly fine even when walking to the first cafe, so I thought I picked out the right shoes for today. However, after going in and out of a couple of select shops and crossing the crosswalk a few times, my heels always start to get a little chafed after about two hours.
If the toe box is narrow, your toes get pressed down, making your steps unnecessarily slow. Even if you suggest exploring one more pretty alley, your first thought inwardly is, "Do we have to walk here again?" At this point, a single pair of shoes can shorten your entire date route.

On days when I walk for a long time, I start by taking out shoes I’ve already worn for about half a day. For brown loafers, I check to make sure the heels don't slip, and for cream sneakers, I choose ones that don't press down on the ball of my foot. On days I wear loafers, I also keep two small bandages inside my bag to apply immediately if my heels start to chafe slightly. It might seem like a small thing, but it makes quite a difference for the remaining few hours.
If it rained the day before, wearing pure white shoes makes me hesitate for a moment. After stepping on damp paving stones and wet leaves a few times, I find myself constantly looking down at my shoes, even in the middle of a date.
Women's date look, a denim fit that is comfortable even when sitting for a long time
Dates don't end with just walking. After wandering around for a while, you sit at a cafe for over an hour, go shopping again, and when you enter a restaurant for dinner, you end up sitting in a chair for a long time again. That is why choosing denim based solely on how it looks while standing is a bit questionable.
Even if perfectly fitting denim makes you look slim in the mirror, it can press against your stomach the moment you sit down. If you are constantly conscious of the button placement before you even have dinner, it will be even more bothersome a few hours later.

If the line falls straight from the thigh to below the knee, like deep indigo straight denim, it pairs naturally with a soft beige knit. If you let the hem touch just the top of your foot in loafers or sneakers, it won't tuck under your heel while walking, and your ankles won't be excessively exposed when you sit down. At home, try sitting in a chair and leaning forward to reach for your bag. If he touches your waist or thigh as soon as you stand up, he will likely do the same during your date.
Autumn knit styling, the awkward length that keeps riding up while walking
The color combination itself isn't difficult, with a soft beige knit and deep indigo denim. In fact, after wearing them for a few hours, I find myself more concerned about the length than the color; on days when the knit is too short or clings to my body, I unconsciously pull the hem down every time I sit down or stand up.
I didn't think much of it the first time or two. Once when I got up from the cafe, once again after taking a photo, and one more time before entering the restaurant for dinner... At this point, I'm starting to get confused whether the clothes are wearing the person or the person is wearing the clothes.
If the length falls naturally over the top of your pants, the waist area feels stable when you move, and the hem won't stick out too far down even if you wear a jacket in the evening. For the knitwear, choose a thickness that doesn't bunch up inside the jacket, rather than something too bulky. I personally find it more comfortable when the sleeves leave a little room at the wrists. Although long sleeves that cover your fingers might look stylish in photos, you'll likely find yourself subtly rolling them up before you even pick up your chopsticks once you sit down at the dinner table.

Evening date outfit, a light outerwear needed when the sun sets and it gets chilly
A single knit sweater felt just right in the afternoon, but the air feels quite different once the sun sets and you step back out of the restaurant. On days when I’ve been out and about since midday, my body cools down a bit, so even walking the same distance can feel unusually chilly in the evening.
If you pack a short jacket in warm brown or charcoal, you can throw it directly over a soft beige knit and deep indigo denim. However, since you may be carrying it around by hand for a long time during the day, make sure to pack one that is compact when folded.
You shouldn't judge a bag solely by its size. If you walk around for a few hours with your phone, card wallet, power bank, small pouch, and even a few heel bandages inside, you can feel the weight of the bag itself directly on your shoulder. Even with a small crossbody bag, if you try wearing it with your usual items inside, the difference is greater than you might expect.

After having dinner and stepping outside, the other person asks, "Shall we walk a little further?" Without looking down at my shoes first, we walk together just like that.
