Failed to wear the same daytime outfit until night... Women's outfits for October autumn festivals with large temperature fluctuations
At 2 PM, it is slightly hot enough to wear just a long-sleeved shirt due to the sunlight, but the air at outdoor venues changes drastically after 7 PM. This is especially true on days when the temperature stays around 20 degrees during the day and drops to the low teens after sunset, so this time I wore a thin oatmeal knit sweater with charcoal pants and packed a navy zip-up jacket.
If you are going to be out for more than six hours from day to night, you need to choose clothes that will fit you a few hours from now rather than clothes that are comfortable to wear right now.

Rather than clothes that look pretty only when taking photos, I found that clothes that keep me warm while waiting for the performance and keep my feet comfortable even after walking around the food zone a few times are what I ultimately prefer at autumn festivals.
The reason the 2 PM Autumn Festival starts with a thin knit sweater
If you put on a thick knit as soon as you enter, your back will start to feel a bit hot after just visiting a few booths. Since crowded event venues are slow-moving and involve long queues in the sun, you start sweating much faster than you expect. That is why, when choosing a top, I tend to look for a thin knit that doesn't feel bare even when worn alone, rather than focusing on thickness. After all, if the inside looks like loungewear when you take off your outer layer, you’ll end up putting it back on every time you take a photo.
I chose a round neck that isn't too tight around the neck and pairs naturally with charcoal pants, in colors like oatmeal or warm beige that don't make the face look dull; it was perfectly fine to go out looking like this during the day.
Autumn festival pants reveal the waist when squatting for a photo

At festivals, there isn't much time to sit still on a chair, so you often find yourself lowering your posture in front of photo zones or squatting down to take pictures of props placed close to the ground. When that happens, if your lower back arches or your thighs feel tight, you end up constantly pulling down your top; if this accumulates for a few hours, it can become quite annoying, right?
If you are wearing charcoal straight pants, try holding your phone close to the ground and striking a pose as if you were taking a photo before heading out. Bend your knees and stand up straight, and take a quick look at the back of your waist; this will help you get through the repetitive movements of the day more comfortably. Choose a hem length that doesn't pile up heavily on your sneakers so that the pant legs stay less dirty even after walking around an event venue mixed with grass and dirt.
Autumn festival sneakers, new shoes are not worn for the first time on this day.
Even if your shoes are fine in the afternoon, problems start to arise as you go from the food zone to the performance venue and back to the photo zone. If you wore new sneakers for the first time on the day of the festival, the wear and tear is immediately noticeable on the heels or balls of your feet. That is why, on days like this, instead of new shoes, I reach for my cream or gray sneakers that I have already walked in for a long time. If it rained the day before, also consider the condition of the ground. If there appears to be moisture remaining on the edges of the grass or on the dirt paths, it is better to save thin-soled shoes and pristine white sneakers for another day.
The socks are long enough to slightly cover the ankles, and I found that they feel quite different from short socks after sunset. The four hours after my feet start hurting feel really long.

Nighttime outdoor performances, the time when a navy zip-up is needed
I carried the navy zip-up jacket around all afternoon, wondering if I had brought it for nothing, but it plays its part here.
About 30 minutes before the performance starts, once I've settled into my seat, the time I spent walking suddenly comes to a halt. I begin to feel the cold air around my arms and neck, which I hadn't noticed while constantly moving during the day. That's when I put on a zip-up jacket over my oatmeal knit sweater. On windy days, having a jacket that blocks the wind on the outside feels much more reassuring than just wearing a thick sweater alone. Also, when I zip it up to my chest, the sweater underneath peeks out slightly at the neckline, so it doesn't look bad either.
If your hands tend to get cold easily, pack some thin gloves or a small hand warmer. It rolls around at the bottom of your bag during the day, but it is the first thing you reach for at a night performance.
Preparing everything from picnic mats to the grass for the outdoor performance

If the performance is held on a lawn, the ground is a variable. Laying down a thin, waterproof mat prevents your pants from touching the damp grass and reduces the cold rising from the ground; however, mat sizes and available areas vary by festival, so be sure to check the event guide before you leave.
If I think I'll be sitting on the mat for a long time, I also bring a thin lap blanket. Since a large blanket is cumbersome, I choose one that folds small and is just big enough to cover my knees. When I sit for a while waiting for a performance, this small blanket naturally creeps up onto my knees first.
Autumn Festival Bag: Choosing a Size Large enough to fit even your evening gear
If you only consider a cell phone and a card wallet, a small bag seems sufficient, but when you actually put in a power bank, hand warmers, and thin gloves, the zipper often barely closes.
In such cases, it is better to switch to a crossbody bag one size larger; it keeps both hands free when receiving food from a food truck and reduces the need to rummage through your bag to take out your phone. Since you will be wearing the zip-up jacket in the evening, calculate the bag space based on your winter gear and power bank, and

Please leave enough space for a hand to fit comfortably even after putting in a wet wipe. If the 8 PM performance has started and you still haven't put your hands in your pockets, wouldn't you say you picked the right outfit for today?
