I'm still eyeing the shorts, but going bare-legged doesn't quite feel right. On the other hand, if I wear black stockings, my outfit suddenly looks too heavy. You surprisingly get moments like this in early October. A few days ago, I took out my shorts, opened my stocking drawer, and put them back in immediately. I only have black ones. And I even have three pairs that look similar, lol.

However, in Lee Joo-yeon's photo, light gray tights are paired under the black shorts. At first, these felt more unfamiliar than the shorts. She is wearing a dark gray outer layer on top, a beige beanie on her head, and sneakers on her feet. Individually, they aren't particularly difficult items to wear, but it is definitely different from the combinations I usually put together.

I was looking for black stockings first, but I see gray tights much earlier.

When I heard that black shorts are worn until autumn, I almost automatically thought of black stockings. Since it's black against black, there's no need to worry, and you can't really go wrong with it. However, Lee Joo-yeon wore light gray tights.

This subtly connects with the dark gray outer layer above, but the colors aren't exactly the same. Since the top is much darker and the bottom is lighter, even though gray was used for both, it didn't feel heavy or stuck together like one solid block. Black shorts run through the middle, and the inner top is lighter, so the colors are occasionally interrupted.

If it were me, I think I would have gone for black stockings as well. And I bet they looked in the mirror thinking, "Why am I unusually dark today?"... I can tell just by looking lol.

There is also a reason why gray tights look good at this time of year. Bare legs are starting to look a bit chilly, but there are days when it feels a bit too early to go for thick, opaque tights. In that gap, you can start by lightly changing the color.

I also like that I finished the look with sneakers. Just because I wore shorts and tights, I didn't feel the need to wear boots or dress shoes. Since the sneakers fit, the tights don't look too dressed up and just sit like my everyday clothes. It turns out I actually needed to change my stocking drawer first, rather than the shorts.

I was worried the beanie might be too fast, but maybe because it's beige, it's not as heavy as I thought.

And I have a beige beanie. When I think about wearing a beanie in early October, I hesitate for no reason. I haven't even put on my puffer jacket yet, so I worry that I might look like I'm the only one who has already started winter.

However, here, it doesn't really feel like the beanie has rushed into winter. A bright top is visible beneath the dark gray outer layer, and since the bottoms are short and the tights are light gray, the overall look doesn't feel heavy.

I think it would have looked quite different if the beanie had been black as well. Since the beige is right on the face, the color doesn't get lost even between the dark outerwear and long hair.

I actually prefer having my long hair naturally down. I didn't style it just because I was wearing a beanie; I simply let it fall, and it looks great with my clothes. Honestly, for me, half the time I wear a beanie, it's because of my hair rather than the fashion. If I don't like my hair in the morning, a hat suddenly looks so pretty to me lol.

With a combination like this, I don't think I necessarily need to wait until the middle of winter to get a beanie. However, I don't have a light beige beanie. This one only comes in black. My taste issues are starting to show.

It's October, so I was worried wearing light blue pants would make me look cold, but it turns out I don't.

The second look, shot at the beach, is on a completely different side. I wore a short gray outer layer with light blue wide-leg pants and a cap. Here, the color of the pants was the first thing that caught my eye. When autumn comes, I inexplicably reach for darker denim first. I pull out dark wash jeans, black pants, and even check out brown. I push light blue to the back simply because I wore it a lot during the summer.

However, Lee Joo-yeon wore the bright blue pants as they are. But since she layered a gray outer garment over them, the pants don't look like they are left out in the summer heat.

The width of the pants is also quite generous. While the leg lines were relatively clearly defined in the first outfit due to the shorts and tights, the silhouette is completely different here as they extend wide down to the ankles. It also catches the eye that the seaside blue and light blue pants are together in the same frame. However, since the top wasn't matched in blue and was left in gray, the entire outfit doesn't disappear into the background.

In one of the photos, you can see the gray outerwear draped over your shoulders. I actually found the length of the shorter outerwear more visible in that scene. Since the wide-leg pants are bulky at the bottom, it feels less stifling if the jacket doesn't cover all the way up but ends short near the waist.

Looking at this, I guess there is no need to necessarily retire light blue pants along with September. Just because a color is bright doesn't automatically make it summer wear. That said, I have no intention of rummaging through my closet again tonight. Just as I thought the gray tights looked nice, I looked back at my drawer and saw three pairs of black stockings lined up right there. When did I buy three of the exact same thing...

I need to take care of that first lol
