It's all black from head to toe, but where did the stuffiness go… Park Kyu-young's Gucci-accented all-black autumn outfit
I tell myself I'll wear a different color today, but before I know it, I'm back to black again lol. Anyone who likes black knows what I'm talking about. I also have many days where I open my closet, agonize over it for a long time, and end up just pulling out a black top and black pants.

It gets a bit tricky around October. In the summer, it was fine even if I wore black because my arms and legs were exposed, but as I start accumulating more long clothes, there are times when they suddenly look stifling. Yet, I don't want to force myself to wear colors I don't usually wear either.
Looking at Park Kyu-young's Gucci styling, I realized that reducing the use of black isn't the only answer. On one side, she paired a black bag featuring the Gucci Web Stripe with leopard shoes, while on the other, she went all the way to sheer stockings and long boots with a black outer garment with a fur collar. Although both are black, one side broke it up here and there, while the other pushed it all the way to the end.
A Gucci Web Stripe black bag with even leopard print... but it's not as complicated as I thought.
For the first look, I wore all black from head to toe. Up to this point, it seems like a combination I often wear myself, but then leopard shoes suddenly appear at the feet.
Wait, you're wearing that there?
Whenever I see patterned shoes like leopard print, I always tell myself I’ll wear them as a statement piece. But when morning actually comes, I don’t know what to wear with them, so I end up picking out plain shoes again. It feels like a hassle to start picking out a top all over again just to wear one pair of shoes.

Park Kyu-young, on the other hand, kept the rest almost entirely black. Instead of finding another color that matches the leopard print, she let the shoes stand out on their own. A black Gucci bag is included, but it doesn't just end up being a plain black bag. Featuring Gucci's iconic green and red web stripes, the bag doesn't get lost even amidst the all-black look.
When I see a red or green bag, I say it’s pretty, but I pause for a moment before actually buying it. I start thinking about how many times I would actually use it with my clothes. However, if it’s something like Gucci, where green and red are subtly incorporated into a black background, it’s a different story. That is because I can add color to my everyday black clothes without having to wear them.

What is even more interesting is that Gucci used both the Web Stripe and the Leopard pattern simultaneously. Both are strong accents, but since the garment uses almost no other colors, they appear separate rather than clashing.
My long, straight hair fell naturally down. There is already so much to look at with my bag and shoes; if I had styled my hair this way and that, I probably would have gotten exhausted while getting ready, haha. On a day like this, it’s probably okay to just leave your hair as it is.

A black fur-collared outerwear, sheer stockings, and a mini skirt—it wasn't time to put them away yet.
As October began, it became a bit tricky when to wear miniskirts. It’s fine during the day, but I sometimes feel a momentary shiver at the thought of showing off my bare legs in the mornings and evenings. On the other hand, if I wear thick black tights now, it feels like winter has already arrived.
In her second look, Park Kyu-young wore a black outer garment with a large fur collar paired with short bottoms, connecting them with sheer stockings and black long boots. This is the exact opposite approach to the first Gucci look. While the previous look broke the black with web stripes and leopard print, here the black is continuously connected from below the thigh down to the boots.

However, since the stockings aren't completely opaque, my legs don't look like they're completely covered in black. It definitely feels like the season has moved forward compared to going bare-legged, but it hasn't quite reached the point of wearing thick tights yet—it's somewhere in between. This feels more realistic to me right now. It feels a shame to tuck away miniskirts like summer clothes right away, but it's also getting a bit awkward to endure every evening with bare legs.
The fur collar doesn't just end up being a decoration. Because it creates significant volume close to the face, the long boots at the bottom don't stand out too heavily; instead, the top and bottom feel substantial together. This is likely the reason why the outfit doesn't feel summery even though short bottoms are worn.

However, with see-through stockings, if you snag a fingernail while putting them on in a hurry, it's a disaster from the very next morning. If a run pops five minutes before you leave, you start rummaging through your drawers again, forgetting about your clothes and everything else lol. On days when I wear clothes like this, it’s probably more reassuring to just keep a spare pair handy. I’ll probably reach for the black ones first tomorrow morning, too. There isn't much chance I’ll suddenly become a colorful person now.
Instead, this time, I think I should try not to automatically pick black for shoes. I might look for an item with a bit of color mixed into the familiar black, like a black Gucci bag. I'm not sure if I'll have the courage to go as far as leopard print... but for now, I'll have to open my shoe closet.
