These days, it's hard to last until the afternoon in an 8 AM outfit... Lee Sun-bin's way of styling a jacket is the perfect transitional work look.

These days, when I get dressed in the morning, the first thing I check isn't the weather, but "What time am I getting home today?" On days when I only have a morning schedule, I can just throw on whatever, but on days that extend into the evening after work, there are so many things to calculate starting from the morning. But carrying an extra outfit to the office is even more of a hassle.

Looking at Lee Sun-bin's two outfits, one featured a black jacket and white pants, while the other consisted of a sleeveless top and wide-leg denim. They looked like completely different clothes, but they had one thing in common: not wearing thick layers right from the start. This is actually quite important, especially in early October.

I used to hesitate every time I wore white pants to work, but since I have a black jacket, it looks fine.

It’s not hard to take out a black jacket in the morning. The problem is the pants. I almost automatically reach for jeans, but Lee Sun-bin wore black all the way to the inside and white pants underneath.

The black is concentrated at the top, but since the bottom is bright, it doesn't feel as stuffy as I expected. That said, it doesn't look too casual for going to work. Even on days when I have a meeting in the morning, I don't think I would bother looking for something else to wear.

To be honest, even though I know white pants are pretty, I still hesitate on weekday mornings. The moment I step out with a cup of coffee, I start worrying about stains before I even think about the clothes. It makes me feel like I should unnecessarily choose something without broth for lunch, too, haha.

Still, wearing it under a black jacket, I understand why I keep reaching for it. The color contrast between the top and bottom is more distinct than when wearing jeans, making the jacket look less ordinary. A Roger Vivier black bag fits right in here. The bag is black, but it doesn't get lost within the jacket. With its three-dimensional details and gold-tone frame against the black background, the bag stands out clearly up close.

Since you can use the chain to carry it on your shoulder or in your hand, it’s worth trying out a different way of carrying your bag, even if you’re wearing the same outfit. You could leave with your hands free on your shoulder in the morning and carry it in your hand in the evening. After all, you don’t need to readjust your clothes.

I didn't style my long wavy hair too neatly, either. Since my outfit was already tidy, I suppose it might have looked a bit heavy if I had styled my hair flawlessly as well. On days like this, I actually prefer just running my fingers through my hair before heading out. Even I can't pull off a full makeover on a Monday morning.

I organized my summer clothes, but do I need to take out my sleeveless ones again?

I tucked away my sleeveless tops while organizing my summer clothes last week. I thought I wouldn't wear them anymore, but after seeing Lee Sun-bin's outfit, I wondered, "Wait, maybe I shouldn't have put them away yet." She is wearing a cream-colored sleeveless top with wide-leg denim jeans and holding a denim jacket in her hand. Looking at just the sleeveless top, it definitely feels like summer, but with the jacket included, it seems there is a way to wear it even in October.

If the bottom had been as short as the top, I think I would have hesitated a bit to wear it now. However, since the wide denim falls long, the sleeveless top prevents the whole outfit from looking like midsummer.

This combination is a bit different from wearing just a long-sleeved shirt all day starting in the morning. That is because you can put on and take off a denim outer layer when needed. Long sleeves are especially useless when you go indoors and it's hotter than expected. You end up rolling up your sleeves only to have them bunch up at your elbows.

Wearing sunglasses on top of your head and a brown shoulder bag looks natural. If the bag had been black as well, the colors would have looked a bit bland between the denim and cream, but the brown shoulder bag featuring Celine's signature gold embellishments really makes the bag stand out.

I particularly like the combination of denim and brown. It feels a bit overwhelming to suddenly switch my entire wardrobe to brown or burgundy just because it's autumn, but it's not difficult to simply have a brown top next to the jeans I usually wear. If wearing a sleeveless top feels too revealing for a weekday, you could switch it out to a cream-colored short-sleeved knit. You just keep your denim outerwear and wide-leg jeans as they are and change the inner layer.

The problem is that I already put the sleeveless tops at the very bottom of the summer clothes box. I felt so proud organizing everything last week, but it looks like I'll have to open it up again. I guess whoever organizes the closet first loses in October, haha.
