I wondered if wearing long boots already was overkill... but seeing Lee Joo-bin pair them with a mini skirt, it looks like the perfect autumn outfit for right now.

I opened the shoe cabinet to take out my boots, but then closed it again. Is it still too early? In September, no matter how pretty they were, it seemed a bit over the top, but now that the number has changed to October, they look okay again.

But when I try to wear long boots, the outfit is the problem this time. If I wear a knit top with long pants, it feels like I'm way ahead of the season. Lee Joo-bin wore a black mini-skirt with a short jacket and long boots, and I thought, "Ah, if I leave a little leg space like that, it would be fine right now."
I was wondering if I should wear long boots now, but seeing the mini skirt has changed my mind.
A black miniskirt, a short black jacket, and even long boots—everything is black. It sounds like it would be quite heavy just hearing about it, but in reality, since there is space between the miniskirt and the boots, the outfit doesn't feel completely filled with black.

I think it was a good decision to leave the khaki bag as is. If the bag had been black as well, it would have been truly one color from head to toe, but now a slightly different color comes in the middle. It’s not like I suddenly carried a bright bag, so it doesn't stand out on its own even when placed next to the black one.

When I wear long boots, I actually worry more about my calves than the heels. There are days when they feel fine when I wear them briefly at home, but after a few hours, they feel inexplicably tight, making me want to take them off immediately. So, if I have a long schedule, I should check not only the heel height but also whether the boot shafts are too tight. It is quite a hassle to go out wearing tight-fitting boots just because they look pretty, only to have to check the zipper every now and then in the afternoon.
One friend used to take out her boots before me every year, so I'd tease her by asking, "Already?" But this year, I'm actually the one going to contact her first. I'll ask her where those boots she was wearing back then were from, haha.
I was hesitating because I feel like wearing a leather jacket makes me look too tough, but then I realized I had white sneakers.
Black leather jackets look so pretty when hanging on a hanger, but I hesitate for a moment when I actually try to wear them. I worry that I might look like I've dressed up too much today, or that I might give off an unnecessarily tough vibe.

Lee Joo-bin wore a black leather jacket and shorts on the glamorous night streets of a travel destination, paired with white sneakers. Had she gone up to boots or black dress shoes, it would definitely have been a completely different outfit.
With white sneakers, I no longer need to put too much effort into the rest of the outfit just because I'm wearing a leather jacket. I like that. The jacket already has a presence, so there's no need to wear shoes that scream, "I really dressed up today." Also, I find leather jackets more comfortable when they develop slight wrinkles from wear rather than shining like new. At first, I might be overly careful about bending my arms, but after wearing it a few times, I just end up throwing it on casually.

I always thought about pairing the leather jacket I have at home with black boots, but next time, I think I'll try wearing white sneakers first. After all, changing shoes is much faster than changing clothes.
If I had only worn a black top, I would have looked for jeans again, but I see there were light-colored pants.
Finally, I wore a black top that slightly exposed my shoulders paired with brightly shining pants. With the bouquet included, it immediately brings to mind occasions like a birthday or an evening gathering where I want to dress up a bit, rather than a typical daytime outing.

With the black Chanel bag on top as well, the top and bag are on the darker side, but the bottom is completely bright. Since I tend to almost automatically look for jeans or black pants whenever I take out a black top, I got stuck here again.
Just because it's a black top, you don't necessarily have to stick to a familiar look all the way down. Pairing it with bright pants prevents the top from looking suddenly stifling, and the Chanel bag flows seamlessly with the black top without feeling out of place.
If I have a dinner appointment right after work, I think it would be fine to just throw on a jacket and take it off at the location. I would feel a bit embarrassed walking around in an off-the-shoulder top from the morning, too. It looks like my habit of reaching for jeans first whenever I see a black top has been caught again.
Seeing how adding just a pair of bright pants makes it look like an outfit for a dinner date makes me wonder if I've been dressing too similarly all the time. But that's a problem for later; first, I need to dig out those long boots shoved into the very back of the shoe closet. I put them away last winter and haven't looked at them since... I wonder if they're in good condition, haha.
