It’s time to start thinking about what to wear this weekend again… Layering like Lee Se-young will definitely ease my October styling worries.
Since it's a long weekend, I'm already getting messages asking where I'm going, but I'm more worried about what to wear than the destination. I think a long-sleeved shirt would be fine for the morning, but then when I think about the evening, I feel like I need to pack something more; on the other hand, if I wear a thick sweater, I feel like I'll regret it in the middle of the day.

So this time, I think it would be better to layer thin clothes rather than wear one warm outfit. Seeing Lee Se-young in everything from Prada to Merci & S, and her look with a navy jacket and light wash jeans, I realized there is no need to switch to autumn clothes entirely. Just put on one more layer, and take one off if it gets too hot. This might be the most comfortable approach right now.
I went all black and almost carried a black bag too... but I had a brown Prada bag.
It is a Prada SS26 look consisting of dark colors, from the black jacket to the long boots, but the bag is a large brown one. I tend to pick a black bag without much thought when I wear black clothes, so this combination was a bit unexpected for me.

This is especially true in the fall. Wearing a black jacket, black boots, and even carrying a black bag is comfortable, but you end up dressing exactly the same way the next time. Here, with just a brown bag in the center, the color flow is interrupted without having to change clothes.
Long boots filling in the gap below the mini length is also a good option. However, if you have to walk a lot all day, I think I would compromise just on the shoes. I don't want to go out looking nice only to start complaining about sore feet in the afternoon and just looking for a place to sit, haha.
Just keep the black with brown combination as is, and choose shoes that match the day's schedule. With this, it shouldn't be too difficult to copy.

It’s a bit awkward when you come out wearing a sweatshirt and suddenly get a dinner appointment.
If she had worn just a gray sweatshirt, it would have ended up being a really comfortable weekend outfit, but Lee Se-young pulled a blue shirt out long underneath. Since the blue is visible not only slightly at the neck but also at the hem and sleeves, it is definitely different from when she just wore the sweatshirt loosely.

This kind of outfit would be perfect for when you head out comfortably in the morning but your schedule ends up lasting longer than expected. You know those days when you planned to just have lunch and come back, but suddenly they ask you to have dinner together? It makes me look down at myself in that moment, dressed in a sweatshirt and sweatpants.
A friend of mine was exactly like that once. He came out dressed casually, but when I suddenly suggested going to a restaurant with a nice atmosphere, he refused to take off his jacket until the very end. Ah, I know that feeling. The khaki wide-leg pants are roomy enough so they don't feel tight anywhere, and with just a shirt underneath, it doesn't look like he just stepped out of his house. It strikes that perfect balance when you want to dress comfortably but don't want to look too casual.
I was wearing a hoodie and even a baseball jacket, so I was wondering what I should take off first if it got hot.
The Merci & S look features a gray hoodie layered with a black baseball jacket, with subtle stripes peeking through. With the addition of a green baseball cap, it definitely has a different vibe from the previous outfits. This kind of layering would be quite convenient when there is a temperature difference between morning and day, like now. You could wear the jacket in the morning, take it off when it gets warmer, or adjust the hood if it is still too hot.

The most tricky thing in early October is when you accidentally pick the wrong thick piece of clothing. If you take it off, it's short sleeves, but if you wear it, it's hot. It's actually easier to move around according to the day's temperature if you have a few layers of thin clothing.
Stripes are quite important here as well. It would be a familiar combination if it were just a gray hoodie and a black jumper, but since the stripes peek out occasionally between the neck and hem, it clearly shows that you are wearing multiple layers. Rather than dressing it perfectly neatly from the start, it would look better if the hoodie and shirt were slightly visible.

I was wondering if I should put away my light wash jeans now, but they still look fine when I wear a navy jacket.
Even light wash denim, which I wore well until September, makes me hesitate once October arrives. The color is so bright that I wonder if it's time to put it away, but then again, wearing only dark wash doesn't feel like the season has progressed that far yet during the day. Lee Se-young wore light wash denim as is, paired with a short navy jacket and a bright top. Since the pants are a color she has been wearing since summer, the overall look doesn't feel like it leans towards summer because the top is getting darker.

This is actually quite welcome. It means you don't need to completely change your pants every time the season changes. I used to push my light wash jeans to the back of my head whenever the weather got even slightly cooler, but I think just pairing them with a dark jacket or knit sweater would be enough. In fact, I think this approach would feel less stifling right now than dressing in dark top and bottom.

I have a feeling I'll be pulling out a cardigan and a jacket again this weekend while choosing clothes. Still, rather than wearing one thick item and complaining about the heat all day, I think I should go with layering a few thinner pieces. The problem is, even though I've written this, I feel like I'll end up taking out three outfits again on Saturday morning, haha.
