I quite like bright-colored clothes. Even if there is just one ivory item hanging in my closet, it looks prettier for some reason next to black, and I find myself reaching for white pants again and again, even though I know they are hard to maintain. So, what surprised me more about Sooyoung's fashion was navy rather than burgundy.

It is a color I would normally have just passed by thinking it was a bit dark, but it made me realize how refreshing it can become depending on where you add white. On the other hand, I didn't lighten the burgundy half-heartedly but went all out with it.
As someone who loves color, I am even more curious about styling like this. After all, rather than constantly buying only bright colors, figuring out how to wear the darker colors you already own in a less stifling way is ultimately the way to make better use of your wardrobe.
Swimming Navy Golf Look White Accent
The navy knit top features a long white collar and placket, with bright lines around the pockets. The white extends to the hem of the pleated skirt as well. This is a golf look featuring Kiss on the Green and Sooyoung, and I actually liked the whites more than the navy. It made me realize that just because I like bright colors, I don't need to buy only pink, mint, and white every time I go to the golf course.

Especially since there is white close to the face, wearing navy loosely doesn't make it look dull. This is the part I want to keep exactly as it is. However, I think I will wear the skirt a bit shorter to suit my lifestyle. On days when I play golf and then have a meal, I prefer a length that is comfortable for sitting down and standing up, rather than constantly worrying about wearing a short skirt.
And with this top, you don't necessarily have to look for the exact same skirt. I think white pants would work, and pairing them with light beige bottoms would make the look much calmer. Here I am, thinking about white pants again. People who like bright colors eventually return to that.

Sooyoung wearing burgundy from head to toe... wait... this looks better since it wasn't released in a bright color.
I spent a long time looking at this because it is the exact opposite of my usual habits. If I wear a burgundy top, I feel like I would start by trying on an ivory bottom. It’s practically an automatic reflex to think, "I’ve put on one dark color, so let’s keep the rest bright."

However, Sooyoung wore a COS burgundy top with wide-leg pants in the same shade. She didn't just throw in a bright color unnecessarily. On the contrary, that makes the outfit look even better.
Ah, I'll admit that.
The top has sleeves that fall wide and the pants have a loose fit, so even though the colors are dark, the outfit itself doesn't look tight. Only the thin black belt at the waist and the black pointed-toe shoes provide a dark contrast.
As someone who usually likes bright colors, I would be tempted to grab an ivory bag right now, but carrying a similar burgundy bag like Sooyoung actually looks much cooler. Is this what it means to ruin your look by unnecessarily adding one more item next to someone who dresses well?

If it were me, rather than copying this look exactly, I would just take the boldness behind the use of color. If you have a skirt in a similar shade to the light purple knit at home, try wearing them together, or you could start with familiar colors like a sky blue shirt paired with light wash denim. It’s not a style that requires buying a new burgundy set.
However, when buying clothes with strong colors like COS Burgundy, I think I would try them on one more time in front of the store mirror. They look great when standing, but I would check if the sleeves would be bothersome after wearing them all day, or if the hems of the wide-leg pants would keep getting stepped on by my shoes. You know how the excitement suddenly turns into reality when you fall in love with the color, pay for it, and then immediately start looking into alterations at home.

Still, if I had to revisit just one of the three outfits because of the color, I would choose this one. It’s the exact opposite of my preference for bright colors, so I’m actually more curious about it. The next time I come across burgundy while shopping, I don't think I’ll immediately look for ivory pants like I used to. I think I’ll try holding the same color against the pants first.
Sooyoung in ivory pants—I want to take this straight into my closet.
Ah, this is a somewhat familiar world now. There are roomy ivory pants underneath a dark charcoal outer layer, and that’s where I felt at ease. Bright pants are indeed great. No matter how dark the top is, if the bottom is bright, the whole outfit doesn't look stifling.

I also like the brown Saint Laurent bag peeking out. I actually prefer that brown bag to the black one. That is because the color doesn't cut off too sharply between the charcoal and ivory. However, if I were to actually recreate this look, the first thing I would get is definitely the pants. I want to wear them with a black knit sweater, a navy jacket, and even try pairing them with the brown cardigan I have at home.
Of course, when I get in the car with a coffee in hand on days I wear ivory pants, my hands suddenly become much more restrained than usual. I also find myself hesitating for a moment over the lunch menu in front of red soup. Still, I’m going to wear them. I already have enough black pants in my closet. It is my preference to wash them one more time rather than hold back for fear of them getting dirty and letting the season pass by.
