A beauty with aura, Seo Yea-ji, looks different even in just jeans… A daily look completed with a striped shirt.

I sometimes feel that way when I see people who dress well. They aren't wearing anything special, but I wonder why the vibe is so different from the jeans I own. It makes me want to open my closet for no reason. It was the same with actress Seo Ji-hye's four outfits. From a black jacket with light wash denim to a striped shirt, a polka-dot blouse, and a long-length white shirt, none of the items are difficult to combine, but the way she styled them was slightly different.

Especially when you start becoming self-conscious about your upper body, you naturally tend to look for loose-fitting clothes first. However, I realized that you don't necessarily have to cover everything up to look slim. Some days I accentuate my waistline, and other days I just leave my shirt unbuttoned for a relaxed look. Ah, I guess clothes are all about push and pull in the end.

Black jacket and light blue denim outfit

I want to wear this exactly as it is this weekend. A white top under a black jacket, topped with light wash denim. It doesn't look boring even though I didn't mix and match colors.

In particular, this combination of a short top and jeans is great for making your legs look longer. If you're in your 30s, you can dress casually like in the photo, but as someone in their 40s, I'd just like to lengthen the white top a little. You don't have to be so serious about fashion that you have to expose your stomach. Ah, comfort comes first.

A friend once came out wearing a similar black jacket, but since they matched it with black pants, it looked much heavier than I expected. I think it would have been much better if they had just worn light wash jeans back then. As for the bag, a small black shoulder bag, and white sneakers, I don't think I would touch the outfit any further.

Striped shirt and jeans daily look

If you wear an oversized shirt, will your entire upper body really be covered? It does cover it, but if you're not careful, you end up looking bigger too. I bet quite a few of you have experienced this.

So, when I wear a striped shirt like this, I don't think I would go overboard with the bottoms. Pairing it with denim like in the photo looks much more realistic. Maybe it's because the way he's holding the dog looks so relaxed, but I find myself wanting to copy this look more than trying too hard to dress up.

If you are in your 40s, switching to dark straight-leg denim would be nice, and for those in their 50s, pairing it with navy pants and flat shoes would look natural. Roll up the sleeves once or twice and wear a watch. If you start adding too much flair with a necklace, big earrings, and a bag at this point, I would personally start removing them one by one. I think the shirt needs to look comfortable for this outfit to really come alive.

Polka dot blouse and wide pants outfit

Wait, could a polka dot blouse be this stylish? I tend to get a bit nervous about polka dots, worrying that if I wear them wrong, they might look a bit old-fashioned. But here, the gray wide-leg pants completely changed the vibe. The top is feminine, but since the bottoms fall long and sleekly, it doesn't end up looking too demure.

And it's interesting how it leads to burgundy-toned shoes. If it were me, I would keep the shoes as they are. Wearing black pumps would be a safe bet, but I think it would be a bit boring. You know those days when you get dressed and feel like something is missing? That's when the color of your shoes really makes a big difference.

If someone in their 40s or 50s were wearing a polka dot blouse, I think I would actually keep the bottoms simple like this. Something like gray, charcoal, or navy. Since one pattern is already working, the rest can take a break, right?

White long shirt autumn outfit

Wearing white in the fall makes you feel extra cautious for no reason. You have to be careful with your coffee, and careful with your lunch menu. Yet, on a sunny day, there are few clothes that capture the mood as well as a white shirt.

I like that long-length white shirts don't require you to constantly worry about your waist or hips. When I see clothes like this, the first thing that comes to mind is travel. It’s perfect for days when you don't want to think about what to wear in the morning—you just have to grab one, put it on, and switch your bag.

However, if I were wearing this, I think I would add a bit of flair to the shoes. I could go out comfortably in slim sneakers during the day, and then switch to brown ankle boots if I have an appointment. If you are in your 50s, letting the waist fall naturally like this is fine, rather than cinching it tightly. After all, you don't have to show off your figure to look stylish.

Actress Seo Ji-ye's Daily Look Styling Points

In the end, I like the outfit with the polka dot blouse and gray wide-leg pants the most. Actually, at first, I thought the jeans look was the most realistic. But looking at it again, the combination of the polka dots and burgundy shoes keeps coming to mind.

In particular, I liked the combination best where the patterned blouse was paired with wide-leg pants instead of just a skirt for a feminine look. If wearing it as is feels too daunting, I think I would start by looking for a polka dot shirt instead of the blouse.

Ah, at this rate, I'll be adding another polka dot to my closet. Out of the four, do you prefer the jeans outfit or the polka dot blouse outfit?
