Actress Hyeri, formerly of Girls' Day, wrapped up the romantic comedy *Dreams to You* last month and is now looking forward to the release of the movie *Tropical Night* and hosting the new Disney+ variety show *Style Wars*. While browsing through her recently released photos, something caught my eye: her hair styling was different every time, even before her outfits. Today, I’ve taken a look at how those four hairstyles completed each of her looks.

Night Running Look, The Reason I Deliberately Messed My Tied Hair

In the photo of her night run wearing a Nike running jacket, she tied her hair back, but it didn't look perfectly neat. She intentionally left some stray hairs and took the picture just as they were, fluttering in the wind. Tying your hair too tightly while exercising can make you look stiff, but the slightly disheveled strands added a sense of dynamism next to the dark black jacket.

A black jacket can easily look heavy, but the tousled hair created a softer impression around the face. It was a scene that showed you don't have to try to tie your hair up perfectly when wearing sportswear.

The white shirt look, the way hair is swept back to reveal the face

With the white shirt, she styled her hair back and tied it low, leaving a few strands of bangs to soften her forehead line. Since the shirt collar was left wide open, revealing her neck and collarbone, sweeping her hair back created an unobstructed line of sight from her face to her neck.

Sweeping your hair back is particularly effective when paired with white tones; since your face isn't obscured, it creates a radiant effect that highlights both the clean color of the shirt and your skin tone. Small accessories like ear cuffs also naturally stand out because your hair is swept back, serving as a focal point.

This kind of oversized white shirt is a fit often seen in COS or Our Legacy lines, and you can find a similar silhouette at Musinsa Standard as well.

Knit Look, The Reason for Letting Long Straight Hair Down

In the photo where I'm wearing a beige knit cardigan, unlike the previous two looks, I didn't tie my hair up at all and let it hang long. Since the cardigan itself is a detailed item with ruffles and contrasting lines, adding too much volume to my hair could have made the overall look too cluttered. By leaving my hair straight, the details of the cardigan actually stood out more.

The background tone, the beige knit, and the straight black hair were placed side by side, creating a natural tonal contrast. It was a scene that showed that it is actually better to keep your hair simple when wearing clothes with intricate details.

Coach bag look, a style where hair swept to one side reveals the shoulder.

The final outfit featured a gray top that subtly exposed one shoulder, paired with a black Coach shoulder bag. Here, the hair was swept to one side, leaving the exposed shoulder completely bare while concentrating the volume on the opposite side. This created the effect of not covering the shoulder line without making the look bare.

I left the area where the bag strap crosses the shoulder completely bare so that no hair would get caught, revealing the sleekness of the black leather. This shoulder bag was a Coach product, but similar hobo bag silhouettes can also be found in Michael Kors or Tory Burch lines.

In the end, the hair was completing the outfit every time.

Looking at the four looks again, I noticed that the way the hair was styled varied for each outfit. Intentionally tousled with sportswear, swept back to reveal the face with a white shirt, let loose with a detailed knit, and swept to one side with an off-the-shoulder look. If you try changing the direction of your hair according to the style of your outfit today, I think it will give you a completely different vibe even if you have the exact same wardrobe.
