Event Queen, Military Idol. There is a singer who has once again proven these two titles this summer with her new song, "Shake It." She performed back-to-back on MBC ON Trot Champion and SBS Life The Trot Show, and the song is reportedly garnering attention as the signature track that will follow in the footsteps of her mega-hit, "Please Press."

When she actually appears on the radio, she is someone whose down-to-earth wit, completely different from her pretty looks, comes out first. This unexpected charm didn't actually develop overnight. She endured a long 12 years as Jellyfish Entertainment's first female trainee, and only officially debuted after appearing on "I Can See Your Voice" in 2015 as "Immortal Trainee S," where she garnered attention by passionately singing Taeyeon's "Can You Hear Me?"

I'm talking about Seol Ha-yoon. When she appeared on The Unit in 2017, she was praised as a "rediscovery hidden by the prejudice against trot singers," and the following year, she became the first female trot singer to model for the cover of Maxim. On Trot National Championship, she also left behind two legendary performances that surpassed 1 million views. Since she shows a different energy on every stage, let's take a look at her casual outfits.

Gayo Stage broadcast look completed with a black knit

The photo taken in a plant-filled space and the one reflected in the salon mirror were both taken on the day of the Gayo Stage broadcast. I paired a black knit sweater with a cut-out detail that slightly exposed one shoulder with wide-leg pants; by unifying the top and bottom in a single dark tone, a slender vertical line was naturally created.

In the photo reflected in the mirror, I saw a cropped knit top with a square neckline. Since the design slightly exposed the neckline, it didn't look stuffy even when I let my hair down naturally.

A single gesture of running a hand through her hair perfectly captured the relaxed moment characteristic of waiting times before a broadcast. In the photo with the plant background, she was sitting with her legs crossed, looking to the side; the black tones stood out even more distinctly amidst the green leaves. It was a picture where a relaxed expression was immediately apparent, rather than the tension of right before a broadcast.

Shoot day styling completed with two denim items

These were photos taken on the same day, featuring denim styled in two different ways. In the radio studio hallway, I wore a denim romper with a shirt collar; thanks to the belt cinching the waist, the silhouette remained intact despite the oversized material. The pose of running my hand through my hair suited the casual denim look perfectly.

By the window inside the house, she was seen wearing a denim jacket paired with a mini skirt in the same tone. The jacket had a slightly puffed shoulder silhouette, so it looked sharp despite the casual material, and the moment her low ponytail fluttered in the wind was captured refreshingly.

It was fun seeing how the same denim could be styled differently—once as a romper, and again with a jacket and skirt combination. The colors created by the city night view and the blue window light also blended surprisingly well with the denim's wash tone.

Backstage look for the cover stage completed with a color-block top

I paired a black flared skirt with a top featuring black ribbon-like details on a white background. The skirt's hem flares out in layers, creating a look that balances the simple top while adding movement. The crystal buckle at the waist served as the skirt's focal point.

It was a mirror selfie, and apparently, that day was the day they covered Nami's "Bing Bing" on Gayo Stage. Since it was taken in the waiting area backstage, the hanging stage costumes were naturally captured in the background.

The detail of the polka-dot stockings peeking out slightly from beneath the black skirt also caught my eye, adding a subtle touch of fun to an otherwise simple skirt. Her bright smile made this color-block combination even more cheerful.

Geojedo photoshoot look completed with a cream knit

I paired a cream-toned turtleneck knit with brown wide-leg pants. Even though the knit covered up to the neck, it didn't look stuffy, thanks to letting my wavy hair down, which added soft volume around the neckline.

The brown pants paired with the cream tone of the knit to complete a warm color combination, and these neutral colors matched the Geojedo background, where pine trees and the sea harmonized, exceptionally well.

I heard these photos were taken during the filming of the Geojedo episode of *Saengsaengjeongbo*. They were two profile shots capturing the moment when the hem of the dress was slightly fluttering in the wind; in one, the pose was smiling at the camera, while in the other, the gaze was directed at the distant sea. It was impressive how the atmosphere changed dramatically with just a single glance, even though the outfit was the same.

This person's wardrobe, completed by a single unexpected charm

Looking back at your outfits, the locations were all different—from a broadcast waiting room and a radio studio to backstage and the beach where you were filming—but you exuded a sense of ease in your expression wherever you were. Your sense of style in creating two different looks with just one denim piece, and your flair for brightening up backstage moments with a single color block, particularly stood out.

True to someone who possesses both a pretty face and a down-to-earth way of speaking, she seems to effortlessly switch between neatness and comfort in her attire as well. Seeing how the tenacity she showed during her 12 years as a trainee carries over into her new song activities, I look forward to seeing what kind of energy she will display on her next stage.

The styling interpretations included here are merely my impressions from looking at the photos and may differ from actual taste.
