Even though I don't know much about baseball, I tend to make sure to watch ceremonial first pitch videos. While belatedly rewatching the video of her first pitch at Jamsil last June, I ended up visiting her Instagram, and her casual photos lingered in my mind longer than her uniform on the mound. So today, I’ve selected four photos of Fromis_9’s Lee Na-kyung in her casual outfits to share with you.

If you scroll through the photos, you'll notice that she looks particularly good at establishing her silhouette with a single form-fitting top and keeping the rest of the look relaxed. Since she chooses clothes with inherent character in the fabric itself—such as crochet, ribbed knits, and lace—the photos don't look boring even without many accessories. She centers her color palette around white and ivory, adding just a touch of denim or blue; thanks to this restraint, her face and long, wavy hair stand out first. Another strength of her style is that despite her petite frame, she wears cropped tops and high-waisted bottoms perfectly, making her proportions appear longer than they actually are.

Lee Na-kyung, born in 2000 and 26 years old this year, is a member of Fromis_9, who debuted in January 2018 with *To.Heart*. After her contract with Pledis ended in late 2024, the five members moved to *ASCENT* to preserve the group name, and the scene of her shedding tears immediately after being called as they won first place on Music Bank with *LIKE YOU BETTER* last summer was even reported in the news. In July of this year, she released her second full-length album *Glow ME* after three years and achieved a triple crown on music shows with the title track *Vitamin ME*; this album also includes the unit song *Cold Blood*, which was written by Lee Chae-young and sung by the three of them, including Baek Ji-heon. The story about the ceremonial first pitch in the title is about the Doosan vs. KIA game at Jamsil on June 26. Standing as the ceremonial first pitcher for Doosan for the second time in eight years since 2018, she said, "I am really happy and excited to be able to stand on the mound again," and as Doosan won that day, the phrase "victory fairy" was attached to the headline of the article the next day exactly as it was.

① White crochet halter dress and black square sunglasses by the sea

This shot is like a symbol of summer activities. She wore a white crochet halterneck dress with a loosely sheer knit texture and posed with her sunglasses slightly lowered to reveal her eyes. True to her role as a member of a team known as the "Summer Queen" for their summer songs every year, she goes all-in on white in front of the sea; the halter design, which reveals her shoulder and arm lines, makes her 159cm height look much taller. When choosing a crochet dress, be sure to check for a lining, and even with SPA brand products in the 50,000 won range, if you select one with wide halter straps, the neckline will look clean and defined like in the photo.

② White bustier top, scarf, belt, and denim in the staircase photo

In this shot, which looks like it was taken on the stairs of a practice room, the top is structured as a white bustier crop top, and a blue silk scarf is tied around the waist of light-wash straight denim jeans like a belt. Even though there are three focal points—the ring detailing on the denim hem, the ivory platform fiftie boots, and the addition of just two colors, white and blue, prevents the look from appearing chaotic. Articles noted that the unique styling drew attention during the Music Bank first-place performance, and the same sense of style is evident in her casual outfits off-stage. You can easily recreate the scarf belt look by simply folding a silk scarf you have at home in half and tying it around your waist instead of using the belt loops.

③ Light blue off-shoulder knit and white wide pants on a blue velvet chair

It is a pictorial-style shot featuring a sky-blue wall, a blue velvet chair, and a snowflake background. A light blue ribbed knit sweater is worn draped over one shoulder and paired with white wide-leg slacks; this color combination brings to mind the mood of that winter when the remake single "White Longing" reached 5th place on the Melon Top 100 and won two awards on music shows. The key is to pair the cropped knit with high-waisted pants to raise the waistline, so to achieve this look, you must choose pants with a high rise.

④ Ivory lace camisole and studded belt against a sunset background

This photo was taken on a lawn near the concert venue, with the sunset behind her. She is wearing an ivory lace camisole with fringe, black pants, and a thick silver studded belt; the contrast between the flowy top and the solid bottom is quite interesting. Since the Tomorrow Glow Asia Tour Seoul concert was held at Korea University's Hwajung Gymnasium in early September, this could be considered casual wear for the concert season. Judging by the way she layered a pearl choker with a seashell pendant, she is the type who completes a bohemian mood with accessories. Since studded belts are widely available online for around 20,000 to 30,000 won, choosing an antique silver one that isn't too sparkly will help you get a look closer to the photo.

Looking at the four outfits side by side, the common threads are clear. The top fits the body, the colors are limited to two, and the accent is a single belt or scarf. Seeing how polished the look is without any flashy logos, it seems that calling this person the epitome of effortless chic is no exaggeration. Whether on the baseball mound or at the beach, he was dressed according to the same principles.

Out of the four panels, do you prefer the crochet style or the denim? Please let me know in the comments, and I'll continue with the next installment featuring the other Fromis_9 members' casual outfits.
